Women’s Hormone Health
Many women believe its normal to experience pain and mood changes with their monthly cycle comes around. They simply put up with it OR take the mainstream medical approach of birth control to “regulate their cycle”…
I was one of them when I was younger, before my Naturopath days. Would you believe that it doesn’t have to be this way, your period can come and go without any fuss and the pill doesn’t actually ‘regulate’ your cycle and in fact can lead to gut issues, nutritional deficiencies, post pill skin conditions and anovulatory cycles? I’m here to help!
Hormone imbalances are very common and yes I’ve suffered from them myself and the issues of the ‘post pill withdrawal syndrome’. It took me 9 months to get my cycle back after coming off the OCP at the beginning of my studies. But it is possible, and my period comes and goes without a fuss, every month, much different to what I remember 10 years ago.
A lot of women don’t realise that many of the symptoms they are experiencing are actually a sign of a hormonal imbalance.
Peri-menopause and Menopause
I am also passionate about helping women at the other end of our hormonal journey, where they lead into the perimenopausal/ menopausal stage. Women are often the ‘buttons’ in the family holding everything together and I often find they get to this stage of life and their bodies struggle, mainly due to declining hormones and adrenal gland burnout experiencing mood changes, weight gain and hot-flushes. Wouldn’t you like to prepare and get to this stage without having any discomforts or make this change in life smoother? Or can I help you with some of these niggling symptoms that have you feeling ‘not quite right’.
